Alisyn Camerota

Alisyn Camerota, journalist, author, anchor of CNN's morning show "New Day," and Westport, CT resident, has been elected to the board of trustees for Westport Country Playhouse. Camerota was an journalist for 30 years, has covered stories worldwide and across the country. She was awarded the Emmy Award in her early professional career for reporting on the arrest of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow award when she reported the story of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone, from Stamford was made honorary trustee for her service as the board's chair since 2007. Anna Czekaj Farber of Westport has been appointed chair of the Board following her tenure on the board from 2013. Czekaj-Farber replaces Barbara Streicker of Westport, who was chairperson since October 2015. She has continued to be a member of the board from 2006.
